This is a message from Larry Hall, Treasurer of St. Paul’s UMC – Paulsboro.
Due to the cancellation of our worship services, Oyster & Ham Dinner and all other activities at St. Paul’s, we are beginning to experience a steep drop in our main source of income – your tithes and offerings. This is concerning because our bills keep coming in and are expected to be paid on time.
We hope that you will continue your giving just as if you were attending St. Paul’s in person. Here’s how to do it:
1. Mail your tithes and offerings to our post office box at St. Paul’s UMC, P.O. Box 209, Paulsboro, NJ 08066. Please do not send cash through the mail.
2. Give electronically through Givelify. Some of you are already contributing through this application. If you are not, it is easy to download the app to your cellphone or tablet and set it up using your credit or debit card. Once it is loaded on your device, search for St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Paulsboro. So that you know it is the right church, look for Pastor Onay’s picture on the home page. Please note -- We have been using Givelify for about three years now and to date it has been a very safe and easy application to use.
Please continue giving only if you are able. We know many of you are concerned about declining retirement accounts and interest rates at near zero percent and possible layoffs and loss of employment due to this emergency. God needs your tithes and offerings but He also wants you to be sure that you take care of your basic needs first.
Shine in the love of God's grace, every day.
We are a Fellowship of Believers committed to making Disciples of Jesus Christ! We welcome you as friends and brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. Come and journey with us as we continue to learn how to love like Jesus loved!
